Choosing a crystal is a very personal process. And it is a very intuitive and guided process as well. It is best to pay attention to the ones you feel drawn to or that gets your attention, like you just can’t seem to take your eyes off it.  That is most likely the best and most helpful one(s) for you. You can also go through certain books on crystals and minerals can be a good starting point. Or go to our mineral properties guide under ‘education’. It is good to allow your body and your inner knowing to guide you and/or your guidance of the light.

Then it is a good idea to trust what your intuition/guidance is telling you.  You can also ask, is this for my highest good and I only want to receive guidance from the light. What if you are attracted and or guided to a stone, but your eyes find it less than appealing? Your body may be drawn to the particular mineral that gemstone is made of. Perhaps there is another piece of that same mineral that you will like better. For example, say you find yourself attracted to rose quartz (pink quartz) but you aren’t 100% happy with the particular stone you first were drawn to. It may be too big, too small, out of your price range or maybe the looks of it are not appealing to you. You can look for other crystals that are Rose quartz. Or maybe rose quartz in a different form, perhaps a pyramid shape or a sphere would work. Sometimes our bodies need a particular mineral (like rose quartz) in whatever form, so looking through different forms of the same crystal is OK. And sometimes we are called to work with one or more particular stones or crystals, no matter what it looks like. Then you need to trust that this is the gemstone for you. I have found that the process can change so it has helps to stay open to your flow. Sometimes I am drawn to a particular gemstone,  it helps when I look at the information and the description of the gemstone, sometimes a picture of the crystal will come to me.  And when I get nudges or guidance to work with the crystals I have found they have helped support my growing process and current challenges/opportunities. I truly am thankful that the mineral kingdom has been created to help and support us. It is a wonderful gift from our creator.
